New Library System Launches on Wednesday

After months of preparation, the new library system and the new Covenant library catalog will be going live on Wednesday, May 22. So what does that mean for you?

  1. Please be patient
The library staff will be finishing the adjustment of workflows, adapting to the new system, and may be making some last minute adjustments to configurations.

  2. Please forgive any outdated links in our research guides
Our research guides have lots of links to books in the old library catalog, and it will take some time to get all of those updated to point to the corresponding records in the new catalog. If you have your own bookmarks to the library catalog, you will have to update those too.

  3. Enjoy single sign-on
Several weeks ago we enabled single sign-on for the E-Resource Gateway so that you can access the library's online resources with the same user account that you use for My CTS and Canvas. That user account will also be used for logging in to the new library catalog to make requests and renew books. The only system that will still require your library card number is the interlibrary loan / scan request form.

  4. Renew your books manually
Unfortunately, the new system does not yet offer an auto-renewal feature. You will still receive an email notice 3 days before an item is due, but you will have to log in to request a renewal.

  5. MOBIUS Delay
The return of MOBIUS has been delayed until June 12. You can request Covenant books through the Covenant catalog and can continue requesting books from other libraries through traditional ILL.
