Library Building & System Maintenance: December 15–16

We have two maintenance projects happening next week that will temporarily affect library services. Here's what you need to know:

Building Closure: Monday Morning, December 15

The library will be closed Monday morning for HVAC equipment installation.

  • Closed: Monday, December 15 until 1:00 PM

  • Reopens: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

New HVAC equipment will be installed on the roof of the library building, which requires crane work and closing off the main entrance.

Please note: There may be ongoing HVAC work after we reopen that could cause occasional noise or disruptions throughout the week.

Library System Maintenance: Monday Evening – Tuesday Morning

Our library catalog system will be offline for a software update.

  • Downtime: Monday, December 15 at 8:00 PM through Tuesday, December 16 at 10:00 AM

What to Expect During System Maintenance

  • Library catalog will be offline – You won't be able to search for materials or access your account online

  • Manual checkouts only – Our staff will process checkouts the old-fashioned way at the circulation desk

  • MOBIUS and interlibrary loan requests unavailable – You won't be able to submit new requests during the maintenance window

What Will Still Work

  • Electronic resources (databases, e-journals, e-books) will continue to be accessible as usual

  • The building will remain open for studying (Monday afternoon until 5 PM and Tuesday 9 AM – 5 PM)

Plan Ahead

If you need to renew items, place holds, or submit interlibrary loan requests, please do so before 8:00 PM on Monday, December 15.
